So March is already in full swing and we have a new question from Doug:
The last question is where are you/we going with blogging or would you it like to go?
Great way to cap off the carnival. Blogging, the internet really, has always been about sharing your world. Carving out your own piece of something. Blogging, for me, has been an outlet to say, read, think, be what I want. A lot of people often get trapped in their jobs and having that piece of the internet is a great outlet. I think blogging will continue in that direction. I think we will see corporate and personal blogs become more common place. I think they will also merge together more. I think the combination of social media and cloud storage is going to push more people into maintaining an online presence. With websites like this plenty of people can expose their experience and research to the world. I have nothing against the standard practices of getting your research out there, but I think that people need to take control of what they do. There are far too many cliques and far too many egos in every industry in the world. Take control of your voice and if people like what they see they will come back.
I guess I want the future of blogging to be a continuation of the original dream of the internet. To get free access to information to the world. No corporate sponsors, no ego, just information freely exchanged.
A little anarchy going on there...
